When we talk about Japanese teas, you're probably already familiar with Matcha, the popular green tea powder. But have you heard of Hojicha, the roasted everyday tea from Japan that tastes quite different from other green teas? Like Matcha, Hojicha also comes in powder form, inviting culinary creativity! Our summer favorite is a cold Hojicha Latte over ice. We'll show you how easy it is to make at home. Will this drink with its roasted aromas win your heart too?
Recipe for Iced Hojicha Latte
Ingredients
- 2 g Hojicha Powder
- 160 ml milk of your choice
- Ice cubes
Preparation
- Sift 2 g of Hojicha Powder into a bowl.
- Pour 20 ml of hot water (80 °C) over it.
- Whisk the mixture strongly with a Chasen.
- Pour into a glass with ice and top up with 160 ml of milk.
