The more oxidized the tea, the hotter the water should be for brewing to get the best flavor. For fully oxidized black tea, higher temperatures help bring out its intense and malty aromas.

The processing

In China's Anhui Province, tea leaves have been plucked using the traditional "two leaves and a bud" method and crafted into this exquisite black tea. The leaves are carefully dried, rolled, and meticulously oxidized to develop their signature, sweet flavor profile.

The origin of the tea

In the misty landscapes of Qimen in Anhui Province, ideal conditions for tea cultivation flourish. According to legend, a Chinese official lost his position and went to Fujian to learn the art of black tea production. He decided to bring black tea to his homeland in Anhui, where predominantly green tea had been produced until then.
