P&T celebrates success at the ICONIC Awards 2024, with honours for both the Berlin store and the headquarters — two spaces that unite exceptional design with functionality.
The ICONIC Awards are among the leading international design competitions, organised by the German Design Council, and recognise outstanding achievement in architecture and interior design. P&T is delighted by this recognition, which affirms the distinctiveness and quality of our design approach.
Our Store on the Ku'damm: A Destination for All the Senses
The store on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm goes far beyond the conventional retail experience, offering visitors a deep immersion into the world of tea. Created in collaboration with pluspunkt architektur from Graz, the space draws on Japanese and Scandinavian design elements to striking effect. At its heart is the tea bar, where visitors can sample teas and take part in events. "Our stores should be sanctuaries from the bustle of everyday life — spaces that set the highest standards through uncompromising design and material choices," says Goran Pavlic, former CEO of P&T.
Between Tea Ceremony and Modern Workplace: Our Headquarters
The new Berlin headquarters, designed by Schwitzke & Górski, combines elegance with functionality. The absence of fixed workstations encourages flexibility and creativity, while the Tea House serves as a central space for both retreat and events. With its design bringing together shōji screens and exposed concrete, an inviting and inspiring working environment has been created — one that has also been recognised with an ICONIC Award.
